The open house was held, as previously indicated, on September 14th and 15th. There were approximately 600 people who attended the open house and we believe that was 50% members and 50% non-member of the church. Everyone enjoyed a special spirit there. The opportunity to share the programs of the church in the Wenatchee area was especially well received. Thanks to all who participated working so hard to make it a success.
The dedication of the chapel was held on Sunday evening, September 16th. The Wenatchee River Ward was assigned to set up the folding chairs prior to the meeting.
The chapel and overflow area was filled to capacity by 6:30. As I attended the event, I could feel the closeness of our Heavenly Father and the sweet spirit of the Holy Ghost as President Hunsaker gave the dedicatory prayer. We certainly are blessed to have this new building in our area and particularly to be able to hold our meetings there.
Sacrament meeting for the Wenatchee River Ward will begin at 9:00 a.m. this coming Sunday.
This blog has been created to provide Cashmere and Wenatchee area residents a look at the ongoing construction of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Chapel being built on Easy Street in Wenatchee, Washington.

The sod around the Chapel is in place. Do not know when the hydro seeding of the other areas will be completed.
